Potato-Hoes

That's right, I said Potato-Hoes!! Sorry, inside joke! I just don't think it's going to have the same effect ( uncontrollable laughter) if I try and explain it here. So, in case you didn't get my play on words, we are in Idaho for the week...we left Sunday night and arrived late Monday morning. We actually made really good time. We even made a detour in Utah to have lunch with Grandpa Andes, by the by..Thanks Dad, it was oober yummy!

So, we met up with Tim and Jodi at a RV dealer in Draper, they were looking at a new 5th wheel. We went from there to dinner at Golden Coral..SOOOO much better than Chuck-O-Rama! Oh my lemons!! Kind of reminded me of Home Town Buffet back home. We then headed "home". Lucky for us, we hit a HUGE storm on the way!! It seemed like we were driving through a blizzard to this Socal girl!! I don't think it was quite that bad, but it was pretty nasty just the same. The kids were so excited the next morning to wake up to snow. They could not wait to get outside and play!! Even Sam had a lot of fun playing in the snow.

We kind of played it low key on Tuesday. Sam, Tim, and all the "older" girls went into town to get supplies to build a chicken coup, and stopped on the way home and picked up about a dozen baby chicks. They (the chicks) are super cute!! And the kids just cannot get enough of them. The boys and I along with Jodi and Anikin just hung around the house and cleaned a bit. We made dinner, and watched a movie before bed while the kids played. It was nice to just lay around and relax a bit!

Then there was today...Tim and Jodi went to pick up their new trailer, and Stephen went along to "help" with the kids, so Sam and I took the rest of our brood to do a little off roading. And what a adventure that was!! So, we got Tim's Rhino loaded up into their trailer, attached it to the back of my Denali and headed out. We ended up in a National Park...I cannot for the life of me remember what it was...grrr!! So know that we are in the right place when we see a bunch of trucks with trailers parked off the side of the road..but we thought we would head a little further down...Suckers!!!
That's when things got interesting!! We got totally stuck in the snow!! It was pretty thick, but underneath was not only ice, but tons of mud! Yes, I completely freaked out! But, I didn't scream, yell, or cry. I kept my composure on the outside while I was crying hysterically on the inside!! I did help get us unstuck though!! I even drove the Rhino out all by myself!! Yup, I off-roaded all by my self!! Sam was so proud!!
Once we got the truck out, and turned around, Sam drove out with Caleb and the little girls, and Meghan rode out with me. Sam parked the truck with everyone else, and just took the kids around where all the trucks were parked...it was sooo muddy!! But we all had so much fun, Caleb even had a blast! He and Sam almost rolled and he just giggled the whole time.

We (Sam and I) took the little girls for a ride when we got back to the house, just from Tim and Jodi's house down the looooong driveway and back a few times. But the best park was that Delilah didn't want to get out!! She was loving it!! She held on all by herself and everything. She just giggled and yelled, "weeeee" the entire time. I didn't take it very fast with her, But we really got on it with Caleb and Meghan with us. Sam even put Molly in the "bed" and took both girls for a ride. Highlight of their day!!

Thus far, it has been an awesome trip. I think that we definitely need to make this a annual type of thing!! Don't know if I would come up in the snow again, but you never now!

Chicks Man!!
These are the baby chicks that Sam,Tim, and the "big" girls picked out!! So cute!!

Lil' Miss Delilah Rose...off roading with Daddy. I am not too sure if she enjoyed it... what do you think??

Miss Molly, This was her in the "bed" of the Rhino, and Delilah sat up front. They were having so much fun...just in case you already couldn't tell!!
