I heart The Used

I love The Used. I don't know what it is about them, they just speak to me. I was having a rough night, and when I opened my blog this was the song in the Que. Talk about kismet!! The lyrics just made my heart feel at peace. It brought such comfort to my soul. Thanks to the guys in The Used!!

On My Own by The Used

See all those people on the ground
wasting time
i try to hold it all inside
but just for tonight
the top of the world
sitting here wishing
the things that I've become
that something is missing
maybe i,
but what do I know

and now it seems that I have found
nothing at all
i want to hear your voice out loud
slow it down, slow it down
without it all
I'm choking on nothing
it's clear in my head
and I'm screaming for something
Knowing nothing is better than know at all

On My Own
On My Own
On My Own
On My Own
On My Own
On My Own

without it all
I'm choking on nothing
it's clear in my head
and I'm screaming for something
knowing nothing is better than knowing at all

On My Own
On My Own
On My Own
On My Own

Will edit for food

Well, I would love to say that it's offical...but it's not. Right now it's just still a fun hobby, but maybe someday it will be more. But for now I am just enjoying myself, taking pictures and making them into something super awesome! Check out my "portfolio" on my Facebook. I just can't stop adding!!

Photo Editing and My Portfolio

So, I love to take pictures..especially of my kids, my kids with their friends..whatever. I am not particularly good at it, but I enjoy it just the same. However, I like to think that I am more than just o.k. at taking a photo and editing and enhancing them. I love to look at professionals blogs, or proof sets. I get the best ideas for what I would like MY pictures to look like. So, I am creating a portfolio of sorts with all my edits..let me know what You think...look "professional" and stuff? Oh, and I just wanted to add that all these photos were taken By Me, and edited By Me. The photos have various dates that they were taken, but the edits were done within the last couple of days...mostly today/tonight because I am up..why am I up? Because Sam is in ID; but that is a whole different post! Enjoy my portfolio. Oh, and what do you think of my "water mark"? All the photogs are doing it!!

Blog-Stalking

O.k., so this is about more than just the "normal" blog-stalking..it's about "etsy-stalking"too! So, I love to look at all the different shops that etsy offers, I follow a few friends who have their own, and am always inspired by what I see and find. So, is it bad..wrong of me to take that inspiration and do it my self? I am NOT talking about totally jacking what someone has posted for sale and try and sell my own..I mean like I see something for sale that I love, and think I could make myself, for myself..or o.k. let's be honest here for my chickens...is that stealing? I have no intention of reproducing anything exactly, I would only lke to take the "idea" and run with it!

For example, I saw these AMAZING applicade towels for sale, they were like $23.00, now maybe with 1 stretching for 2..it *might* be doable...for me at least..but I have 5..that's alot for towels! So, I got to thinking...what if I got some oober nice, soft towels and did it myself for my chickens?? I know that at the very least my little ones would love it, I think that depending on what I picked fabric wise my older ones would be ok with it, and best of all...there is not "towel-confusion" while at the pool, friends house or where ever!

So, back to my original question...is it wrong? I don't think it's really going to stop me either way..I was just more curious as to see what the "masses" thought! I honestly feel that as long as I am not trying to sell them for a profit, and if/when I were asked I gave the appropriate credit..I don't see the problem. Isn't the purest form of flattery to be copied?

Food

So, I am trying really hard to cook more from scratch, and come up with creative, fun things to feed my brood...tough to do considering..well Sam is one of the pickiest eaters I know, and then there are the food aversions that both Caleb and Molly have...so it's been an interesting adventure. Tonights newest treat is home made meatball subs. I have never made my own meatballs before...I am just hoping that they taste ok. So for your culinery pleasure.. I present Home Made Meatball Subs and broccoli.
